Live at St Luke’s has been a fantastic addition to Cork’s live music scene. Located in the solemn setting of the former St. Luke’s church on Summerhill North, any gig you catch at Live at St. Luke’s will be a unique and atmospheric experience that borders on the spiritual.
Live At St. Luke’s is the brainchild of Cork music promoter The Good Room who hosts live music and special events around the city. Taking full advantage of its beautiful historic setting, Live at St. Luke’s offers gig-goers a unique opportunity to congregate in the church pews and listen to the music gods.
With light streaming through the church’s stained glass windows, Live at St. Luke’s awe-inspiring atmosphere obviously lends itself well to music at the more reflective end of the spectrum such as folk and R&B. However, Live At St. Luke’s has also presented events for the Cork Midsummer Festival including the live recording of The Blindboy Podcast and singer-songwriter Mick Flannery.
