We get one last glimpse of James Wan's superhero movie before its UK release on 14 December.

The final trailer for Aquaman has been released

It’s just three weeks until Aquaman hits cinemas across the UK and the final trailer for the live action superhero film has now been released.

The film, directed by James Wan, will star Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa as the D.C. comic book character of the same name.

We’ve had previous snapshots of Aquaman including an extended trailer which came out in October, but this trailer gives us a full look at the world the movie will create, complete with stunning shots of Atlantis and sea creatures in battle.

You can take a look at the final trailer for Aquaman below:

Aquaman will be the first full-length feature film dedicated to the hero, although Momoa has previously played him in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017’s Justice League.

The film will focus on Momoa’s Arthur Curry, a half-human/half-Atlantean who reluctantly becomes the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis.

However, Curry is forced to lead his people against his half-brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) as his sibling tries to rally the seven underwater kingdoms against the world above.

Other cast members confirmed to be featuring in Aquaman include Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Willem Defoe, Dolph Lundgren and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Heard will play the warrior and Curry’s love interest Mera, while Defoe will star as Curry’s mentor Nuidis Vulko. Kidman will play Atlanna, the Queen of Atlantis.

With so many jaw-dropping scenes featuring in the final trailer, we can’t wait until we can catch the full version of the film next month.

Aquaman is released into cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 14 December. You can look at showings near you by following Aquaman at TickX here.
