In a special one-night-only show, the legendary actress Dame Diana Rigg will be appearing at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in conversation with writer and broadcaster Edward Seckerson.
With a career spanning over sixty years, Dame Rigg has become one of the most recognisable and most beloved British actors, and the evening will offer fans of the icon a unique insight into her life and career.
Born in Doncaster, Rigg made her acting breakthrough with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the late 1950's where she shared a stage with Laurence Olivier, going on to become a household name with her role as Emma Peel in the hit series The Avengers opposite Patrick Macnee, as well as becoming James Bond's only ever wife, Tracy, in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
More recently, Rigg has become well-known to younger audiences for her role as the cunning matriarch Olenna Tyrell in Game of Thrones, earning her several Emmy and Critic's Choice Award nominations. Other accolades earned by Rigg include the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie for Rebecca as well as Best Actress for Mother Courage and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.
Last year, Rigg returned to Broadway in a revival of theatre classic My Fair Lady from Lerner and Loewe, for which she received a Tony Award nomination.
Broadcaster Edward Seckerson promises to leave no stone unturned in Dame Diana Rigg's vibrant career at this special one-night-only show at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, March 9th.
