Music royalty and Beatles alumnus Paul McCartney has announced three huge UK shows as part of his 2018 Freshen Up tour to follow his upcoming seventeenth solo album, Egypt Station, the first shows he will play in the UK in over three years.
The album, set to release on September 7th will see McCartney follow his lengthy career in The Beatles, Wings and as a soloist, amassing nearly 50 albums total. Already, McCartney has led Egypt Station with new single I Don't Know/ Come On to Me, with 15 more tracks slated to arrive in September. It will be McCartney's first solo album since 2013's New, an album that just skirted the top of charts across the world, reaching #3 in the UK overall.
The news of McCartney's UK tour came following the announcement of his live dates in Canada, with Freshen Up said to refer to "freshening up our show and playing some of our songs from the new album alongside those songs we know you like to hear".
Of the UK tour, McCartney said: "There's nothing like performing in front of your home crowd, especially when it's been a while. I can't wait to finish the year on such a high by partying in Liverpool, Glasgow and London. We've freshened up the show since our last time round and we are excited to get to play some of our new songs alongside some of the favourites."
Paul McCartney's Fresh Up tour will kick off at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on December 12, heading to the SSE Hydro in Glasgow on December 14th before finishing at The O2 in London on December 16th. Tickets for the shows will go on sale Monday July 16th at 10:00am, make sure to follow him here to get updated on any new tour and ticketing announcements, where you'll then be able to find & compare all ticket sellers to get the best ticket prices available.
